The guarding contractor Amulet reports that it has expanded its corporate portfolio with a five-year (three with the option of a further two) security contract with the Institute of Directors (IoD) in central London. This follows the guard firm’s Bank of England win and covers guarding services at the IoD’s members’ club at 116 Pall Mall.
This is the first time Amulet has delivered security for the IoD, though its sister brand, Portfolio, has delivered cleaning services for the IoD since 2021. Together, the two will provide what the contractor terms an integrated soft services solution. The award came after a competitive tender. Among other things the company points to its status as an employee-owned business that made it stand out from the field. A core team of officers will be supported by a relief team, the firm adds.
Adam Overton, head of national premises and facilities at the IoD, said: “Amulet stood out for its fresh perspective on what security means in a members’ club environment. They didn’t just meet the brief, they brought ideas to the table that challenged our thinking and aligned perfectly with our vision for 116 Pall Mall as a forward-looking, dynamic venue. We’re excited to see how their expertise will enhance both our day-to-day operations and our event experience.”
And Kieran Mackie, managing director at Amulet, pictured, said: “Securing a contract with the Institute of Directors is a proud moment for Amulet and underlines the strength of our proposition in the corporate sector. This win, alongside our recent appointment at the Bank of England, reflects our growing reputation for delivering intelligent, tailored security solutions in prestigious environments. We’re excited to support the IoD and help shape the future of security at this historic and vibrant location.”
